Dr. Kenneth Sim, co-founder of Astrana, organizes a merger of three Southern California IPA’s, forming Allied Pacific of California. In 2017 A subsidiary ACO is approved to participate in the Next Generation Accountable Care Organization (NGACO) model. Astrana Health Management (fka NMM) reverse merges with ApolloMed and is listed on NASDAQ. By 2024, ApolloMed takes on a new beginning as Astrana Health, representing a collection of stars that will improve healthcare in communities nationwide.
